Warning Signs of Diabetes
Whatever the cause of high blood sugar level is; it is important that it should be avoided at any cost. High glucose levels in the morning leads to many chronic complications.
These are the possible factors that contribute towards increased amount of sugar in the bloodstream:
- Chronic pancreatitis
- Cushing's syndrome
- Cystic fibrosis
- Diabetes,
- Gestational diabetes
- Glucagonoma
- Oral contraceptives
If a person wakes with high glucose levels in the morning he should spend the day in a manner to stay away from the food items with high levels of GI. The ideal level of sugar in blood should be between 80mg/dl and 120 mg/dl before meals and in the morning. After meals the level goes up but it should not be more than 160 mg/dl. Before finishing the day and just before going to bed the blood sugar level ranges from 100 mg/dl - 140 mg/dl.
High glucose levels can cause serious complication if they are not properly addressed.
