How embarrassing! Some day you just look down there and see few bumps. What are they? Are these genital warts? Are these simply the pimples and nothing else? Before concluding anything it is better to keep in mind that the vagina is covered with the skin. More or less the same skin as we have on our face. So the chances of acne breakout on the vaginal area are equally there.

Most of us think that face is the only one and the right place for the acne breakout. They are wrong. As where ever there is a hair follicle there are the chances of acne breakout. And the hair follicles on vagina are normally more than on the face. Acne is caused by the clogged pores of hair follicles and get worsen by a bacterial infection in it. So we need to treat the skin with greatest care wherever there are hair follicles to avoid this acne breakout.

The fact is that there are more chances of acne breakout on the genital area than anywhere else. The reason being, this body area experiences more heat and sweating and bacterial growth. This area also requires more cleanliness. Use of more lubricants and excessive oils also increase the chances of genital pimples.

Before jumping on to any conclusion it is better to be definite that you are not suffering from any sexually transmitted disease. As the appearance of genital warts, herpes and vaginal pimples are not very different.

After reaching to the conclusion that the bumps you have are vaginal pimple, you need to keep that area clean and dry. Damp and dirty skin promotes the growth of bacteria. Remember! do not apply any over the counter acne product on these vaginal pimples.
